Chris fell in love with running when he was just a boy. He was strong..... good at other sports, but we learn from his father that Chris never wanted to "fill in the gaps"...... do things to perfect his game. Running was different. Chris gave all of himself to running, he was adventurous, took chances, and pushed the envelope. Preparing for races was a grueling task, losing was not only character building, it was devastating. Chris ruminated about his losses, and he did so alone. His philosophy about life was similar. Over the years, he took up various causes...... like running, the causes became obsessions.
