Did McCandless live or not live and an admirable life or is he undeserving of the attention he receives?

Some people think that Chris McCandless was stupid to do what he did and that he doesnt deserve all the attention he got after his death. Others believe that Chris was courageous and brave for living the way he did. What do you think?

I think Chris made his decisions and did what he believed was right for himself. I don't know that I would call him courageous, he was young and thought himself invincible..... like most young people. Chris' story may serve as a warning to someone else..... it may not. People are always ready to judge. His death was tragic..... and avoidable.
