Objective:

In this activity, students will begin a three-part research project on immigration for Asian people in the United States.

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.9-10.7

Structure:

Part 1: Choosing a topic

First, students should choose from one of the following topics:

1. Anti-AAPI laws in the United States

2. History of U.S. 'Chinatowns' or other ethnic enclaves of AAPI immigrants

3. Contemporary conditions and inequities among AAPI immigrants in the United States

Students can also choose a different but related topic to research.
