Chapter 6-10, Saul is still a child. He has endured the Indian camps, his parent’s alcoholism, the death of his brother Benjamin....many hardships. He has also grown close to his grandmother and felt the bond with nature. Even as a child, Saul finds himself in the rugged terrain and waters of God's lake. By chapter 10, as winter approaches, Saul and his old grandmother must endure a freezing trip to relatives.
