On Page 136, the players decide to suffer in silence. Explain why they do this. Can you think of another example from the novel when people chose to suffer in silence?

The player feel shame, hurt, and rage... but they aren't going to let anyone know it. They see their opposition act in silence, and they agree to do the same.
