How did Saul find a way to secretly practice hockey?

Saul rose before anyone else and went to the rink. He was now responsible for the rink and cleaning equipment. Saul would stash some gear for him to practice with. He would stuff newspaper into oversize skates to make them fit better. He would use a chair to balance on the ice.
