Explain why Saul's billets in Toronto were missing in the movie.

Fitting a novel into a movie isn't always easy. The director had to fit a lot of details into 90 minutes or so. The billets certainly add context to Saul's time in Toronto. They had many Maple Leif’s in the past and Saul was their first indigenous billet. The director felt they were not important enough to the narrative to include in the movie.
