In Chapter 42, Saul is 17 years old when he returns to Manitouwadge from the logging camp. He is now full of rage due to all of the mistreatment, and he plays overly aggressively during games. Saul stops setting up plays and begins taking too many penalties. He eventually must leave the team because of his uncurbed aggression.
