In the above quote, the author looks at the effects of the Indian Act not only from a child’s point of view, but from a personal point of view.... personal experience. As a member of the Fish Clan, Saul and his brother quickly come to see white Canadians as the enemy... aggressors and oppressors who steal small children from their parents.
