In Chapter Two, Minerva comes to the realization that going away to Inmaculada Concepcion for school wasn't all she thought it would be. She realizes that she feels just as trapped in this environment, as she did at home. The school that she believed would afford her a sense of freedom was merely a larger cage than the one she'd left behind.
