Human Bonds Defeat the Lows in Life 12th Grade

Love is a universal feeling which creates powerful bonds between individuals. By way of illustration, in Gwyn Hyman Rubio’s Icy Sparks, characters suffer through many hardships but are able to overcome the difficult situations they are in with the bonds they have created with others, specifically the characters Tille Bedloe and Icy Sparks. To begin with, Tille Bedloe endures numerous misfortunes in her life but support from her friends and family aid her in her recovery. Similarly, Icy faces many difficult situations and the relationships she has created with others help her subdue the predicaments in her life. Therefore, human connections conquer the distressing situations in life, shown through the characters Tille Bedloe and Icy Sparks.

To start with, Tillie’s bonds with her loved ones subdue the hardships she is faced with. Initially, Tillie’s bond with her husband, Virgil, helps her overcome the tragic death of her daughter, Louisa. When Tillie and Virgil are talking to Icy about her mother, Virgil describes Tillie and himself as one showcasing how strong their love is.
