I, Robot (2004 Film) Quotes

Quotes

“Sorry, I'm allergic to bullsh*t.”

Del Spooner

Spooner is a rather eccentric and provoking person. these are the words he says to the director of U.S.Robotics Robertson, when the last tells Spooner and Susan that Sonny must be deactivated, so not to make panic among the people. Due to Robertson Sonny was a mistake made by Lanning, but Spooner does not agree, he is sure that Sonny is a clue in solving the Lanning’s death.

“One day they'll have secrets. One day they'll have dreams.”

Dr. Alfred Lanning

Such a prevision Dr. Lanning makes concerning the robots. For a robot there must be nothing but the main three laws of robotics. A robot cannot have a dream; it contradicts with its purpose in the world of people. But Lanning noticed that robots might be self-developing, and the reason for his observation was the fact that staying alone in a room robots tend to keep together than to stay separately from each other. It made him ponder. The possibility of a robot having a dream is dangerous as one cannot know what such a robot might do.

“Please tell me this doesn't run on gas. Gas explodes you know.”

Dr. Susan Calvin

Spooner takes Susan on his motorbike and these are the words that she says: “Please tell me this doesn't run on gas. Gas explodes you know.” It proves how far the science will proceed in future. Today most of the cars, motorbikes and other means of transportation are fueled by gas. In the film it is 2035 year, and gas is already a history, so probably in future some alternatives of the fuels will be found to for substitute gas.
