Why are schools being targeted by the Taliban? Does this have anything to do with the Taliban's outlawing of CD's, dancing, etc? Why would they choose this approach?

Because the Taliban were forbidden from entering the school to the children, then what they did was to exploit the schools and kill everyone who entered
