Malala loves her family and her culture. She does not regard the Taliban or Muslim extremists as representing her faith or her culture. Malala loves both her parents and siblings. She adores her father's championing of education for girls. In chapter four, Malala talks about how she had become close with her paternal grandfather, who she lovingly calls Baba. Malala talks about her cousins with a little resignation to the fact that some people have narrow interpretations of Islam that are not as progressive as her father's idea of Islam.

Malala doesnt like the punishmesnts for there culture.
