Do the actions of Malala’s mother seem to be consistent with the Taliban’s view of women, or is it at odds with it? What does Malala think?

Mother is supportive of both her husband and Malala. She wants Malala to go to school and become independent. This would be at odds with the traditional Taliban view of women being subservient and subjugated to men. Mother worries about their safety but she supports both of them.
