Howard Nemerov: Poems

By examining Henry Howard's poem, "Wyatt Resteth Here."

After the first stanza which introduces Wyatt's elegy, each following stanza references particular parts of Wyatt's body. Choose two and reflect upon what Howard is trying to convey to the audience about Wyatt –making known what's so special about these body parts and this guy also some of the symbolic meanings.

Stanza Two; Howard is conveying Wyatt's innate intelligence, and his contributions to Britain.

Stanza Five: The poet is conveying Wyatt's ability to verbalize his thoughts..... his talents as an orator.
