    Consider how costumes would enhance the play as performed

    Structure:

    While Henry IV is an enjoyable reading experience, it is ultimately intended to be a performed work. The director's notebook activities in this lesson plan ask the students to put themselves in the shoes of a director staging a production of Henry IV. Students will be asked to consider various aspects of the production and create a vision for how they would approach staging the play.
