Vine leaves in the hair is traditionally was an ancient Greek symbol. It meant one was a follower of Dionysus or Bacchus. He is the God of wine and crazy partying. Lovberg can't get enough of the alcohol and Hedda is highlighting this hence he will return "with vine-leaves in his hair" meaning Lovberg will be completely drunk.
