Heart of Darkness

Heart of Darkness Question

The narrator describes how Marlow is different from other sailors. Explain the difference? Know that it’s a paradox. How does Marlow’s storytelling differ from other sailors? *HINT* If you crack a shell and pull out a kernel (or nut), there are 2 distinct levels, and the inner layer, or meaning, is tangible. How do you know that it’s foggy if it’s dark?

Marlow isn't out for money or to exploit "lesser" cultures. Unlike the other seamen,Marlow is a wanderer who seeks adventure and to discover new places.
