Is Haroun to blame for Rashid's inability to tell stories?

I think Haroun's question did affect Rashid a little but I would not blame him (Haroun) for Rashid's insecurities. I think the abandonment of his wife thrust Rashid into a cruel reality that discouraged his imagination.
