Why dows hamlet tell ophelia to go to the nunnery

Hamlet is venting about women in general as well as mankind. Angrily, he tells her she should join a convent for it will stop her from becoming a "breeder of sinners." He then goes into a tirade against all women, denouncing women as a whole and denouncing marriage.
