Why does Hamlet not act on his promise to his father's spirit immediately ? Refer to his religion.

Maybe discuss the fact that he believes in heaven and hell and therefor did not want to go to hell for murdering Claudius.

Hamlet wants to make sure that the spirit he saw was not in fact the Devil taking some "pleasing shape" to decieve him.
