Hamlet struggles with his identity throughout the play. What is a man? Is he a coward? Is he brave? He struggles to be like his character foil Young Fortinbras yet remains the obsessive introspective protagonist to the end. We can ask ourselves many of the same questions that Hamlet does. We all struggle with who we are and who we might want to be. Many of us spend our lives fighting our identity until we die and...the rest is silence.
