Hamlet

In what way does Hamlet succeed in attempting to use the play to “catch the conscience of the king”?

In Act Three, they didn't really explain this one to us.

Hamlet sets up his play to reflect Claudius murdering King Hamlet Sr. Hamlet looks to see how Claudius reacts to this. When Claudius is flustered, "give me some light", Hamlet knows he has caught his guilty uncle.
