Hamlet Essay any help appreciated

I've got to write an essay for Hamlet. Anyways I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for ways the play would prove my topic etc.

"Only times of crisis reveal a person's true nature."

I'm supposed to use the play as proof but I think I can use other examples as well. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated

You could use some political examples, like how our leaders react in times of crisis. Giulliani took immediate action during 9/11 and saved thousands of people. Bush didn't react quickly or effectively during the New Orleans situation, and was viewed as a terrible leader as a result.
