Hamlet
Hamlet does not immediately act on his promise to his father's spirit. Why not?
Refer to the fact that he did not know whether the spirit was his father or not.

Hamlet wants to make sure that the spirit he saw was not in fact the Devil taking some "pleasing shape" to decieve him.
