Compare the ending of Kenneth Brannagh's film version with Shakespeares ending of Hamlet. How/does this maintain textual integrity?

Compare the ending of Kenneth Brannagh’s film version of Hamlet to Shakespeare’s original text. Using evidence from both, discuss the following: How does Brannagh’s choices/interpretations of the ending impact on your understanding of Hamlet. In your opinion do you think the ending supports the view that Brannagh has maintained the textual integrity of Shakespeare’s tragedy. (700-800 words)

I would really have to go back to the movie and examine stage direction for this question. Kenneth Brannagh's film was, word for word, the closest adaptation to Hamlet that I had ever seen. I'm not even sure the screenplay differs from the source material very much. There are of course changes in staging but I would really have to go back and investigate.
