Into the wild:First Impressions

In the Author's Note, Krakauer writes that McCandless's article generated letters from two different types of readers: "Some readers admired the body immensely for his courage and noble ideals; others fulminated that he was a reckless Idiot, a wacko, a narcissist who perished out of arrogance and stupidity-and was undeserving of the conslderable medla attention he recelved."

Which type of reader are you?

This is asking for your opinion rather than mine. I think Chris was a charismatic idealist but ultimately flawed. He was looking for a place of enlightenment but hurt his family along the way.
