Fantasy
The poem "Fantasy" is about a narrator who dreams of a fantastical place called the "Land of Night." This land is filled with strange things, and there the speaker's friend or lover is the queen.
Quatrains
An abstract poem written in two quatrains. In the first, the narrator ruminates on how all she has to express herself is art. In the second, the narrator ruminates on nature such as grass and snow.
Sonnet 1
This sonnet is an ironic poem. In it, a narrator falls in love with a strange mounted rider in armor who she meets one day. She thinks he must be love because of his majesty; however, the rider is ironically revealed to be death at the end of the poem.
Sonnet 2
The narrator begins this sonnet by declaring that she loves nature and holds it dear, listing some examples of natural things she particularly loves. However, she ends the poem by saying the tears in the eyes of her addressee are dearer to her than all the things mentioned above.
