I think satirical humor is fun. The Lilliputians are meant to represent the British and their thirst to dominate/ colonize the world. Their petty aggressive actions (like the little arrows they shower at Gulliver) are meant to show just how silly Britain was at the time. I'm not sure I disliked anything. On a superficial level the Emperor is not a very sympathetic character. He is amused by silliness and entertained at the expense of others.
