Throughout his journeys Gulliver never quite fits in, regardless of how long he stays. Partly this is a matter of size. In Lilliput, he is the only giant. Initially Gulliver is a spectacle. He is feared by the Lilliputians, treated like an amusement, and finally treated as a weapon of mass destruction. There is always a sense of grandeur when it comes to Gulliver and the Lilliputians.
