Gulliver is an adventurous man, sometimes heroic, sometimes a bit cowardly, often lazy and genrally lacking in drive. He has no ambition, isn't terribly bright, and he is extremely gullible (thus, his name). He doesn't like to be home, but his adventures don't really provide him with any sense of achievement, and he is all in all rather boring and dull.
