In the same way that Red Horse is a mentor to Hrothulf, Dragon is a mentor to Grendel. Red Horse and Dragon both preach about the hierarchy of power among humans, and the way in which humans wish to obtain power of their own. Their views on himan nature are dark and cynical, and both characters value power and wealth.
