Wemmick's roundness comes from his dual personality. We might think that the relaxed tinkerer, living in a castle would find himself at odds with the gruffness he displays at work, but it all serves to make him more interesting. Wemmick is the epitome of a round character because he is complex, changing, and undergoes major character development as the novel progresses.
