Orlick hates Pip. He is jelous of Pip's quick rise in social status, "you was favoured, and he was bullied and beat. Old Orlick bullied and beat eh? Now you pays for it. You done it; now you pays for it." At one point, he event tries to kill Pip. In any case, Pip manages to get Orlick fired by telling the Jaggers of his criminal past.
