How does Estella's relationship help him grow as a character?

How does Dickens use his writing such as diction, repetition, imagry ect. to show how Pip's relationship with Estella Helps him grow positivley.

I actually do not see Estella as having a positive impact on Pip. She isn't good for him and every selfish action and thought he has during the course of the novel is directly related to his desire to become good enough for her.
