How did Jamison know that Anabella was dead (she had lived farther out into the woods)?

Question

Anabella had lived in the woods so how did Jamison know that Anabella was dead? Did he send guards or someone to check on her?

After looking through Chapters Fourteen and Fifteen, I can safely say that we aren't told how Jamison knew of Annabelle's death.
