What does Max tell Killer Kane that makes him stop what he is doing to Loretta?

Max falls on top of Ken, screaming at him to stop hurting her because he is killing her. As he continues yelling, Max tells his father that he saw him kill his mother..... that he hasn't forgotten the way he strangled his mother in the same way he was strangling Loretta.
