Frankenstein

Contrast the mood of the story in this pair of episodes: Henry first arrives in Geneva; Henry takes an interest in the Oriental languages.

How and why does the mood change?

When Henry first arrives in Geneva (are you talking about their childhood?), Victor, Elizabeth, and Henry enjoyed blissful childhoods. Everyone was happy.......... The interest in oriental languages comes later after Henry joins Voctir at the University. Victor has already created his monster, and the monster has in fact already run away. Victor has been sick...... Henry turns his mind from these things by introducing him to another course of study. Unfortunately, what he's already done has not gone away with the change in courses.
