Boy sees himself as being on the precipice of greatness. He fashions himself after playboy royalty like the Prince of Wales or Edward Albert Christian George. When the Prince of Wales tours Canada, he meets Boy, whom he hires as an aide-de-camp for the tour. Boy has finally achieved a level of royal, government recognition, something he has long wanted to compliment his financial fortune.
