There was a simile in in the online book, pg. 3,3 but I cant find it, can anyone tell me what it was?

Do you have a chapter number for your question. My etext does not have page numbers, but there are a number of similes early in the novel.

Chapter Two:

I was big enough to be ordered around like an unpaid servant.

Chapter Five:

As I crossed Fourth Street, the noise fromthe market splashed over me like a wave. (I believe this might be the simile you're looking for)
