What is Troy Maxson's relationship with his wife?

Troy and Rose have a somewhat difficult relationship, in that Troy uses his position as head of the house to dominate his wife. Troy is an excellent provider, and acts lovingly toward Rose, but he also demands complete respect and loyalty. This becoomes difficult when Rose finds out that her husband will soon be a father to another woman's child. Rose does, however, accept the challenge of raising this child after its mother dies.
