What does Jeanne mean when she writes that she has lost all respect for her father? Why does she describe that loss as “the worst of all”?

In context, Jeanne is experiencing a time of complete hopelessness. Her life is completely different, she's lost her home, her mother is never home, and all of her father's plans have come to nothing... it's almost as if he embarrasses her.
