Richie loves his brother soldiers. He wonders about what this love means. How does it differ from the love he feels for people outside the army? Is this different than loving a girl? When Perry, Monaco, and Peewee make it out of the jungle and into the hospital, they know that they will survive physically but they don't know how to "live again" emotionally.
