Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian classic for a reason. It is ironic that sixty-four years later, this book is more relevant today than it has ever been. Our world is saturated with commercialism. Almost everything is disposable from items to relationships. Intellectual thought has given way to populism and greed. This book is a cautionary tale for our angst-ridden society. Yes, it needs to be taught.
