Fahrenheit 451

I need some examples of prophecies that Beatty makes.

Teacher didn't really help and Fahrenheit is way to metaphorical.

I'm nt sure exactly what you mean, but the quote below is spoken by Beatty. This quote is very much a prophecy to the way political correctness has come to the forefront in the world today.

"Don't step on the toes of the dog lovers, the cat lovers, doctors, lawyers, merchant, chiefs, Mormons, Baptists, Unitarians, second-generation Chinese, Swedes, Italians, Germans, Texans, Brooklynites, Irishmen, people from Oregon or Mexico The bigger your market, Montag, the less you handle controversy."

Mrs. Bowles on being a mother. I realize this doesn't pertain to Beatty, but it follows what I would call predictions, not prophecies, in the novel.

I plunk the children in school nine days out of ten. I put up with them when they come home three days a month; it's not bad at all. You heave them into the 'parlor' and turn the switch. It's like washing clothes: stuff laundry in and slam the lid...They'd just as soon kick as kiss me. Thank God, I can kick back!

You might also use the parlor walls as a prediction of the popularity of today's reality television.
