How dos Beatty's ability to quote from literature actually foreshadow this understanding his character?

Beatty clearly has a close connection with literature. It is in many ways a paradox: he loves literature and he hates it. Literature represents meaning to him yet he subscribes to the dystopia of the state. This constant conflict tears Beatty apart. He wants Montag to destroy him.
