Dee character

In my opinions, there are no pros in relation to giving up your family. The cons would center themselves around losing the people who love you..... turning your back on your real heritage to embrace a past that cannot hug you when you're sad or in trouble..... that would be the worst thing I can imagine. What's your opinion?

I was thinking that by Dee changing her name would be a pro and con because her name is a family legacy and Dee really doesn't see the meaning of her name .
