Describe the lecture that Mama gives Esperanza about her attitude.

I wouldn't say that Mama actually lectures Esperanza, as I think she is actually trying to guide her. When Esperanza expects Hortencia to help her undress and bathe, she has an important lesson coming.... one that embarrassed her. Mama simply explains that Hortenica is no longer their servant, and that Esperanza is old enough to bathe herself.
