How did Mina feels about Jonathan's letter?

I do not recall Mina getting letters in these early chapters. The count forbids Jonathan to send any. In an attempt to communicate with Mina, Jonathan drops letters with a piece of gold outside his window, hoping that a gypsy will take it to a post. The gypsy instead takes it to Dracula.
